Four Favorites

Wednesday, November 20, 2013
Today I'm linking up with Fancy Things and Let It Be Beautiful once again for their Wednesday linky party, Four Favorites! Today's theme is Beauty Favorites, and next week will be Thanksgiving Favorites! (And as a small treat, I'll be co-hosting in December on Wednesday, the 11th!) Yay!

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette // I don't use this entire palette because some of the colors simply do not match my skin tone or the look I'm going for on a day-to-day basis. My go-to colors, though, are:
Half Baked, Booty Call (for my inner eye), Chopper, Snake Bite, and Busted.

Loreal Voluminous Mascara // This is my hands down holy grail of mascaras. The brush is easy to hold and spin, it gets just the right amount of mascara onto the comb, and it's super buildable. Plus,
it makes my eyelashes look so lush!

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer // I never used to wear primer until early summer of this year
(I know, I know. I just didn't think it was something worth wasting money on). I was in Sephora one day complaining about how I had super oily skin and had heard so many good things about Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and how it just wasn't working for me. The lady helping me proceeded to ask if I was wearing primer with it? I ashamedly said no, so she then gave me a huge sample of this.
(NYX makes an exact dupe for only $12.99 at Ulta.)

Maybelline Flash Clean Makeup Remover // Last but not least, my makeup remover. I also never used to use makeup remover, specifically around my eyes, because I was content with just using lotion. Well, that doesn't really do the trick and it's really not good or healthy for your eyes, so I went perusing around Target one day and settled on this puppy. I love it and highly recommend it! The scent is subtle but so lovely and it does the trick. Oh, and it's oil-free!

*I research and double-research any new makeup product I plan on trying out on MakeupAlley.
It is my go-to site where I trust the reviews of other women who have tried
what I'm interested in trying! I highly recommend it.

What are your top 4 favorite beauty products?

  1. I have been eyeing the Naked 2 for a long time now! I need to just bite the bullet and get it because everyone talks about how amazing it is!!

  2. Fab picks, Cara! I used to use Voluminous all the time, I think I may go back to it instead of paying more for other mascaras.

  3. Hmm my top 4. Lancome Bifacil makeup remover. That stuff is magic. Lip smackers pink lemonade chapstick. I don't know what it is about it, but my lips feel amazing when I use it :) Elf face blotters, cheap and effective, and currently maybelline voluminous million lash.

  4. Thanks for the NYX dupe. I'm almost out of my Smashbox & I keep hearing rave reviews of NYX. Can't wait to give it a shot! I'm a huge fan of Urban Decay and Naked 2 will be my next eyeshadow purchase. I'm trying to hold out until I've used most of the one I have already. Ha!

  5. I have the Naked 1 palette, because I felt the colours matched me more than Naked 2. I also contemplated on the Maybelline remover, but opted for Simple's eye make up remover instead. I think I just wanted to try a product from Simple's line. The link to MakeupAlley looks interesting too, thanks for sharing!
